SRM-20

As a small milling machine, the SRM-20 offers compact size and powerful functionality at an affordable price. Production of realistic parts and prototypes is made simple and convenient with a device that fits into any office, home, or classroom environment. For users looking for advanced milling capabilities without the need for expert operating skills, the SRM-20 is the easiest and most precise CNC mill in its class.

A wide range of materials, including modeling wax, chemical wood, foam, acrylic, poly acetate, ABS and PC board can be precision milled using the SRM-20 small milling machine, allowing you to create realistic 3D prototypes that are virtually identical to production parts.

Engineered for optimum efficiency and productivity, the SRM-20 is a next-generation desktop mill that boasts a micro-step motor drive system for clean and precise contours and a phenomenal feed rate that’s two times faster than previous generations.

The SRM-20 was designed with a number of technological advancements that include a touch-button VPanel controller to regulate feed rate, spindle speed and milling on a complete X, Y, Z axes, and a new independent collet system that allows for faster setting of the Z-axis base point and quick tool changes.

MDX-40A

An intuitive and easy-to-use Subtractive Rapid Prototyping (SRP) device, the small footprint MDX-40A fits into any workshop, office or classroom and allows both novice and advanced users to create precision 3D models. Built for designers, engineers and students who work in fast-paced environments, the speed, versatility and convenience of the MDX-40A put you in complete control.

The MDX-40A is a versatile CNC mill that handles a wide variety of non-proprietary plastic and resin materials, including ABS, delrin, nylon, acrylic, chemical wood and tooling board. Everything from smooth art sculptures to high-precision parts and prototypes can be created with the MDX-40A, helping you transform concepts into functional objects. It can also operate as a stand-alone CNC engraving machine, offering further flexibility and potential revenue streams.

Become a prototyping expert almost immediately with the MDX-40A’s simple yet powerful Virtual Control Panel and bundled SRP Player CAM software. A five-step workflow takes the user through effortless milling, while speed, cursor and cutting tools offer further control. Optional extras include a ZCL-40A rotary axis for uninterrupted 360-degree modeling and a scanning unit for reverse engineering and digitising of existing parts or moulds.

MDX-50

The MODELA MDX-50 combines precise, automated milling and unmatched ease-of-use. An ideal solution for short-runs and prototypes, the MDX-50 reduces operation time and simplifies production so users of all abilities can mill functional parts with incredible quality on a wide range of materials.

• Advanced drive system supports dimensional stability

• Large machining area plus enhanced machine rigidity and drive mechanics

• Optional rotary axis rotates materials automatically from 0 to 360 degrees   continuously or indexes for 2-sided, 4-sided and custom angles

• Simple-to-load tools and automatic machine calibration

•Requires no special electrical set-up and needs no additional air compressor

•Colour-coded LED status lights allow current job status to be monitored from a distance

• Built-in debris collection drawer with rail guided safety door for safe and clean production

•Ideal for use in studio and educational environments

Become a 3D milling expert almost immediately with the MDX-50’s simple yet powerful built-in control panel and virtual control panel (VPanel), and bundled SRP Player CAM software that’s easy-to-use and simplifies operation.

With the control panel at the front of the unit, almost all operations can be completed from the unit itself without having to go back to a PC. The VPanel interface operates seamlessly with the MDX-50 and allows users to make changes to spindle rotation or speed during operation.

The MDX-50 increases performance with an expanded machining area and increased operating speeds, while reducing production time with faster job processing and a 5-station Automatic Tool Changer for continuous operation without stopping to change milling tools.

With an improved drive system, machine rigidity and enhanced drive mechanics, the MDX-50 mills incredibly smooth and accurate prototypes for testing structure, function, and assembly with other parts. A machining area of 400mm (X) x 305mm (Y) x 135mm (Z) supports production of large single objects or batch production of smaller multiple parts.

The automated features of the MDX-50 enables users to mill with speed and confidence. Combine the 5-station ATC and optional rotary axis unit for the most automated and precise operation:

•Auto-sensing function corrects the tool length to ensure milling accuracy for every job

•Optional rotary axis for effortless production of complex surfaces: ◦ Includes a wide, self-centering headstock and tailstock workpiece clamps

◦ Auto-rotates materials from 0-to-360 degrees

◦ Indexes for 2-sided, 4-sided and custom angles

With the MDX-50 you get the same built-to-last reliability and unmatched service and support that Roland devices are famous for. Like all Roland products, the MDX-50 was designed and manufactured at a state-of-the-art, ISO-certified facility. With a 3 Year Parts ‘n All Warranty, you have the peace of mind knowing your device is backed by one of the most comprehensive warranty packages in the industry
